“Our son Matthew moved into Apollo house the end of August 2025 to say this house is a miracle after he went to rehab is an understatement. Matthew Harvey -Parrish the owner communicates and is a leader and such a thoughtful human being and his 2 houses reflect his passion for helping others and guiding them w respect and leadership. He is available to speak w us and is ready to lend an ear. We feel so blessed our son was able to move into the house. The support and other peers in the house is amazing. The staff is supportive and structure is in place ! The physical houses are beautiful and decorated and look like a nice home. I would live there. The location is convenient to grocery stores and restaurants and even work opportunities. Our 19 y old son has thrived under the care of Apollo and plans to stay long term. I highly recommend Apollo for your loved one it’s given me hope and I can sleep again !”
“I’ve been at Apollo House for about 10 months now, and it’s honestly been one of the best things that’s happened to me in my recovery. Matt, the owner, is an awesome guy who really cares and does whatever he can to help the people here.
The fellowship in the house is great it’s a solid group of guys all focused on staying clean and building better lives. Everyone supports each other, and it really feels like a brotherhood.
I definitely wouldn’t be where I’m at today without this place. Apollo House has given me a strong foundation and the support I needed to keep moving forward. Super grateful to be here and highly recommend it to anyone serious about recovery.”
“As a mental health and substance use professional, I have worked with many sober living homes, recovery housing programs, and treatment providers over the years. Apollo House is one of the most impressive sober living communities I have encountered.
What sets Apollo House apart is the level of owner involvement and leadership. Matt is actively present in the house on a daily basis, building relationships, mentoring residents, and helping create an environment where accountability, personal growth, and long-term recovery can thrive. In my experience, ownership involvement is one of the most important factors in the success of a sober living program, and Apollo House exemplifies that standard.
The recovery community and brotherhood that have been built within the house are truly exceptional. Residents are surrounded by peers who support one another, challenge one another, and create a culture focused on recovery, responsibility, and meaningful life change. The sense of connection and belonging is something that cannot be manufactured, and it is evident throughout the program.
I have personally witnessed individuals come through Apollo House and achieve incredible success in their recovery journeys. The structure, support, accountability, and community provided by this sober living environment consistently help residents build a strong foundation for lasting recovery and a better future.
For anyone searching for a quality sober living home or recovery housing program, I cannot recommend Apollo House highly enough. In my opinion, this is the standard for what sober living should look like, not only in our community but across the country.
As a sober coach, I’ve worked with several guys living at Apollo House, and it has always been incredibly easy to coordinate with Matt and the team. Matt is always available, willing to do whatever it takes to make things run smoothly, and the house managers are excellent. They even host Saturday morning workouts that I’ve attended since the beginning—just a group of sober guys training together and building real community. The two-house model, with a primary house and a graduate house next door, is a brilliant setup that helps guys grow while staying connected. Apollo House is truly doing something special for recovery in Austin.”
“Apollo House has been one of the most impactful parts of my recovery. From day one, Matt has been not just honest and accommodating, but someone I’ve come to trust and respect — a friend and mentor I know I can count on. His commitment to creating a solid, supportive environment shows in every aspect of this house.
The community here is full of guys invested in their recovery. Whether it’s weekend workouts, Big Book studies, or just hanging out and watching movies, I’ve always felt genuinely welcomed and appreciated. There’s a real sense of brotherhood and camaraderie that goes beyond just living together.
The house itself is beautiful and thoughtfully laid out — there’s plenty of room, the kitchen is spacious enough for multiple people to cook at once, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and grounding.
What stands out most to me is that even though I’m moving out, I still feel like I’m part of this place. It’s really cool to see the guys who’ve lived here before still stop by, check in, and stay connected. I’m grateful to know I’ll always be welcome here!”
